After graduating from the INSEEC Business School in France, I started my career on the other side of the Atlantic in Toronto. My first job was to optimise the production workflow of the Bennett Pump Group. Then I joined IBM, where I held various sales positions. In 1990, I took on the position of Sales Director of an IBM/Dassault Electronics joint venture that developed system integration projects in the IBM environment.
Five years later, I capitalised on the development of the telecom industry and regulatory changes in France to create Devoteam with my brother Stanislas. Our business model targeted a telecommunications market stimulated by the arrival of new telecom providers.
Today, I also contribute to the development of the ICT industry through our professional association Syntec Numerique and other initiatives.
I lead a simple life with four grown children, three of them recently married and two grandchildren. Ever since I received a bicycle for Christmas six years ago, I pedal my daily 16 km to Devoteam, no matter what the weather is. I no longer own a car.
I like building new things and thinking beyond the limits. Taking my children cross-country skiing every winter allows me to do both. We share a taste for pushing ourselves and for the magical solitude of unbounded Nature.
To survive in the city, I cultivate my creativity. For several years now, I have been helping my daughter and nieces discover something that improves the collective intelligence, warms social relations and delights the senses. We call it cooking. I also spend hours designing my garden in Dordogne, breeding new roses, planting truffle oaks, growing and grafting apples, and occasionally shooting pigeons.
