What’s Next, Google? (3)

Wherever there is Innovation, IT and Cloud, you will find Devoteam at the forefront! And this year, Devoteam is pumped to be heading back to Google Next 19 in San Francisco from 9th-11th April. Today, Stefano Baldelli, Devoteam G Cloud, talks to us about the Digital Workplace, by Google.

With the maturation of the Cloud market, its actors and our methodologies, we now put Digital Transformation at the heart of our strategies, from the very start of G Suite projects.

Digital transformation encompasses a large series of questions but mainly addresses how a whole organization and its users optimize their business, their internal and external processes, their whole way of collaborating and communicating thanks to G Suite tools and, more broadly, their Digital Workplace environment.

We can distinguish two dimensions of a G Suite Digital Workplace project, that can be sequential but that we now increasingly treat in parallel :

  • “Going Google” dimension, where we maximize adoption of G Suite tools through a series of activities such as innovative communication, acculturation, sensibilization, training, network of power users, etc…
  • “Growing Google” aspects, where we optimize and leverage the value G Suite tools can bring to end-users and to the whole company, by getting closer to day to day activities and business processes and transforming them.

To address these aspects, we deploy innovative and processed methodologies that we have been building over the years through diversified projects in diverse business areas (retail, manufacturing, services, …).

G Suite clients are now increasingly willing to leverage the value of G Suite tools by :

  • Measuring transformation through tailored and solid KPIs (such as time and money savings at process or business lines levels), where we have a strong experience in conceiving metrics and dashboards, consistently with clients’ transformations strategies ;
  • Maximizing their return on investment by decommissioning Microsoft licenses, through “Out of Office” projects; we developed a strong expertise in assessing and leading these types of approaches that require an in depth understanding of the organization and targeted transformation efforts ;
  • Optimizing the Digital workplace environment, from a financial as well as functional point of view, through equipments. To this regard, Chrome equipments (Chromebooks, of course, but also other devices such as Jamboards or products such as Digital Signage) is a main topic for us.

“Chrome strategies” imply a strong comprehension of material and human landscape of the organizations we work with (usages, devices – desk, grab’n’go, kiosk…, profiling of population – cloud, desktop, mobile workers..) and opens the path to hybridization of the Digital Workplace (through virtualization of non-native G Suite applications, for instance).

At Devoteam G Cloud, we have a strong expertise in activities related to Going and Growing Google projects. Even if in the last few years, awareness has raised the stakes in the digitalization of workplaces, the introduction of G Suite within an organization is still a disruptive change that often announces an important cultural shift in collaboration and communication.

To conceive new use cases for our customers, and deliver solutions that match their needs, our integrated teams work together to leverage optimal value from Google environment (G Suite deployment specialists, transformation consultants, data scientists and software engineers…). We work on innovative solutions that sometimes anticipate features that are then integrated in Google features and roadmap, such as Groups synchronization. Another use case:

We analyzed and processed conversations in Chats so to define thematic trends and develop custom chatbots in accordance with users interests. These kinds of innovative solutions help teams work together in a smarter and more efficient way, within an organization but also externally, in BtoC contexts (for instance in retail) and open opportunities for new business and consumer experiences.

Participating in Google Next ‘19 will allow us to dive into new technological trends and anticipate how Google innovations – from Machine Learning to Google Cloud Platform services or AI – will sustain and shape our vision of the Digital Workplace in the future. And this event may give us the chance to discuss your use cases.
