Recent developments on the Russia / Ukraine Conflict have also been seen in the cyber field.

Researchers have detected different malware packages that are being deployed and that are targeting Ukraine infra-structures with the objective of causing disruption. Whispergate and HermeticWiper are two examples of such malware.

Because this kind of malware is usually self-replicating, it’s not expected that this will be contained within Ukraine territory, thus all organisations should be aware of this reality.
